    It is an oil-company for three generations. The olive grove of the variety taggiasca is extended through 2 hectares, and it is situated on 600 m height. „U Giarùn“, the olive oil extravergine has won different awards.

    Since 1897 the oil mill Boeri produces and selects local olives from the highest quality. The oil made of taggiasca-olives and other Ligurian specialities are on sale there in the store.

    The company has been incorporated in the year 1945, and keeps the hand-crafted tradition by using the process of cold squeezing out, in order to produce the oil like that times.

    In the store there you can find also olives in the brine, cream of olives and other specialities.

    The vocation has Franco from his father, in a long chain of four generations. The concept of production is always the same: To make quality, to produce vivid and balanced olive-oils extravergine with morbid and smooth flavour.

    Excellent are also taggiasca-olives in the brine „in salamoia“, the green sauce (pesto), and the typical Ligurian vegetables in small pots. All products are in the store on sale or in the show-room in Diano Marina (via Nizza, 22). It is possible to buy these products online, too.

  • 9. Frantoio Ulivi di Liguria

    The experience of three generations allowes to mill the olives, one of the first elements on earth, by using the newest technologies. This means it contains more chemical compounds. That way it improves the quality of the oil (low quantity of acids, more quantity of specific acids and pigments, resistant against oxidation), it keeps the characteristics in times.

    The family Ghiglione, oil mill owner since 1920, cultivates personally the olive grave, the process of cold squeezing out, the conservation and bottleing of the oil. The oil mill can be freely visited, and you can taste the oil and the typical Ligurian products.

    The company cultivates 5 hectares of olive grave of taggiasca-olives following principles of organic farming. The olives are squeezed out with stone-made traditional machines (stones  Colombina), and the final oil extravergine is of excellent quality.

    It produces oil extravergine of taggiasca-olives, which are treated under the conversion to the organic by following the process of cold squeezing out within the private oil mill, which is just few meters away from the restaurant La Cappella. It is situated among oil trees in the Valle del Maro. The direct control of the phases from the beginning to the end (from the cultivation to the mill itself), it allows to offer a unique product, which is bounded strongly to its origins.

    Today the „Antico Frantoio“ is a big building with strong walls, and it was bought in the year 1915 by Stefan Saguato. The son Pietro and the nephew Stefano continue dedicating themselves with professionality - respecting the traditions and together open to innovations - to the production of oil extravergine of olive Taggiasca, and other dainty typical products.
